Samsung Galaxy S6 AnTuTu Benchmark Reveals Flagship Smartphone Specs and 16-Megapixel Camera
Samsung and HTC have watched their reported 2015 flagship smartphones
leak over the last couple of days. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has just made
another appearance on AnTuTu benchmark, revealing the Galaxy S5's
successor's specs in the process.
It's no secret that some of the biggest smartphone manufacturers are
currently in the final stages of working on what will be their 2015
flagship smartphones. Two of the most highly anticipated 2015 flagship
smartphones have already begun to leak. We recently reported that HTC is
expected to unveil its HTC One M8 successor, the HTC 'Hima'
in early January at a press event at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. A couple of
days later we got our first look at what is believed to be the 5.2-inch
display HTC plans on using for its Android 5.0 Lollipop based 'Hima' and Windows Phone 8.1 variant.
HTC isn't the only smartphone maker watching its next-generation
flagship handset's specs and details leak at a growing rate.
We recently
reported that Samsung was planning on taking a page out of its Galaxy
Note 4 and Galaxy Edge playbook and plans on unveiling its flagship
Galaxy S6 alongside a Galaxy S6 Edge with a curved Quad HD display, like the Galaxy Note Edge.
A few days after reports of Samsung planning to launch the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, a device with the model number SM-G925F
popped up on AnTuTu benchmark. The benchmark gave a rundown of the
Samsung Galaxy S6's specs, which indicate the smartphone will feature a
5.5-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a Samsung
Exynos octa-core 64-bit processor, 3 GB of RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop,
and a 20-megapixel rear camera.
A Samsung smartphone with the same SM-G925F
model number has once again made a stop at AnTuTu benchmarks and this
model has similar specs to the device that recently passed through. The
main difference is that this variant is packing a 16-megapixel rear
camera instead of the 20-megapixel shooter revealed in the last
benchmark.
It's very possible Samsung is still fine tuning and making changes to
the Galaxy S6 and as always, take reports on unannounced smartphones
with a grain of salt. We'll keep you posted on all Galaxy S6 news as it
becomes available.
