Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For Moto G 2014, Moto X 2014, Moto E HTC One M8, HTC One M7, Sony Xperia Z3, Sony Xperia Z2 And Sony Xperia Z1 And More

Android 5.0 Lollipop release date for popular smartphones are still not available. Except for Galaxy S5, all other major Samsung handsets like Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, and so on are yet to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop. IBTimes report highlights on when the 5.0 Lollipop will arrive for major Samsung and LG smartphones. This post reveals when the build will arrive for leading Motorola, HTC and Sony smartphones

Motorola
Motorola Moto G 2014 and Moto G 2013

According to PhoneArena, the Android 5.0 Lollipop has arrived on Moto G 2014 handsets in Nov 2014. The update had arrived for the U.S. as well as the international edition of Moto G 2014. However, many users from different regions of the world are yet to receive the update and Motorola has not revealed any specific release information for them.  The original Moto G users are also receiving the 5.0 Lollipop update but there are many others who are yet to receive notification on the new software.
Motorola Moto X 2014 and Other Handsets
Users of the 2nd Gen Moto X, Pure Edition version of Moto X and the edition rolled out through Verizon are all running on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Moto E, Droid collection such as Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Droid Mini and Moto X 2013 are all waiting in line to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, states PhoneArena.
HTC
HTC One M8
IBTimes report claims that the new software was to hit HTC One M8 on Jan. 3 but it did not come true. Now, the update is expected to arrive within one to weeks. It says that users with HTC One M8 from U.S. carriers may have to wait longer to receive the update. As of this writing, it is confirmed whether the Sense 7.0 will arrive along with Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
HTC One M7
Last year's flagship is waiting to get updated with 5.0 Lollipop but there is no official information on its arrival. PhoneArena assumes that the HTC One M7 Android 5.0 Lollipop update will arrive after the HTC One M8 gets updated with the new software.
Handsets that come under the HTC Advantage program are all going to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop. Some of the handsets included in this program are HTC One E8, HTC One Remix (HTC One Mini 2), HTC One Mini and HTC One Max.
Sony
Sony Xperia Z3
It is the first handset apart from Sony Google Play edition smartphones to receive the update. However, a NDTV report says that the update is expected to arrive in February.
Sony Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z1
The new software is going to come to Xperia Z2 handsets in February but probably after it becomes available for Xperia Z3 users. The Xperia Z1 is also going to receive the update but since it is an older device, its owners will have to wait longer as Sony would first prefer to update Xperia Z3 and Z2 devices with the new build.
According to NDTV, Sony has officially stated that all the Z lineup smartphones and tablets such as Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z2 Tablet to name a few are going to get updated with Android 5.0 Lollipop. The update is expected to come to all Z series in February. IBTimes has also published a report on Android 5.0 Lollipop update status for Samsung and LG smartphones
