Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 AVAILABLE

No comments :
New Android updates have been spread out by Google several days before the year comes to a close. Over the weekend, the mobile phone manufacturing arm of Google rolled out a minor update of the latest Android Lollipop operating system for Nexus 7 devices. It is called the Android 5.0.2 update, and it was directly released for the said device.

This minor Android Lollipop update is loaded with different features, including ambient display, a NavigationBar height and customization, a Blacklist display, different clock and data options, status bar brightness control, battery light options, battery percent indicator, notification light options, increasing ring volume, an option for double tapping to sleep, volume rocker wake, safe headset volume, quick pulldown, app ops, phone lookup, as well as an option to clear all recent activities.
The Android 5.0.2 update will be available to other Nexus devices, particularly the Nexus 4, once it has been released over-the-air using SimpleAOSP ROM (Build 7). This can be achieved by following these basic instructions.
  • First, the Nexus 4 users should connect the USB memory of their smartphone to a PC using a cable connector. The files should be downloaded to the SD card, but not in the SD card root.
  • Then, the device should be switched off and the cable should be unplugged from it.
  • After that, the Nexus 4 should be booted into a Bootloader mode by turning the phone on while simultaneously pressing the up and down volumes as well as the power buttons.
  • There will be several instructions on screen, wherein the Bootloader selection should be chosen before heading to Recovery.
  • Then do a cache wipe by choosing the wipe cache partition than wipe the device off the dalvik cache to prevent encountering boot loops or other errors by going to advanced >> wipe dalvik cache from the Recovery tab.
  • After that, Nexus 4 users should go back to the main recovery menu to select install zip from the sdcard >> choose zip from the SDcard. With the help of the volume buttons, the user should navigate to the SimpleAOSP ROM, then select it so that the installation will be confirmed.
  • After getting the flashed ROM, repeat the same steps to install the Gapps package and install the SuperSU if the users choose to include the root.
  • Then finally, reboot the device to finalize the installation.
